Greene Bowlodrome’s 9th Annual Charity Golf Tournament Held

GREENE - Greene Bowlodrome’s ninth annual Charity Golf Tournament was held at the Genegantslet Golf Course recently. Thirty-two teams comprised of 128 golfers competed, with the team of Doug Dean, Justin Carman, Jason Carman and Pete Mansheffer shooting the low score of the day (59) in the Captain and Crew format. Thirty-two teams participated, with 128 golfers. The winning team scored a gift bag with various shirts, hats and accessories.

With the help of our generous sponsors and golfers, the Greene Bowlodrome donated over $1200 to the newly completed Greene Dog Park. In previous years, proceeds from the golf tournament have been donated to Greene Community Services, the Joint Recreation Committee, Greene Labor Day Committee, Greene Area Food Pantry, Chenango County SPCA, Run 4 A Reason,  Every Dog's Dream Inc., Greene and the Greene Clothing Bank.

GREENE – With bowling season winding down, the end-of-year tournaments have begun at the Greene Bowlodrome.

The Men’s Handicap Tournament was held March 9 with 30 bowlers participating. Jim Milk defeated Brendon Widger, 232-221, in the finals to capture this year’s crown. In the roll-offs, fourth-seeded Wyatt Johns downed fifth-seeded Tim Hoskins, 222-197, to advance to the next round against third-seeded Trevor Parrish.

The second-seeded Milk and Parrish squared off with the right to face Widger in the finals. Milk advanced with 221-185 victory and took out the top-seeded Widger in the finals.

Greene Bowlodrome eighth annual Charity Golf Tournament was held at the Genegantslet Golf Course on August 25th. Thirty teams participated, with 120 golfers. The first place team of: Dalton Stinson, Tim Borchardt,  Kevin & Justin Ekstrom  captured their first tournament win, with a score of 58, each winning a gift bag, coffee mugs, shirts and accessories donated by Dig 811 (Mike Quick and Jim Flint). 

With the help of our generous sponsors and golfers the Greene Bowlodrome was able to donate over $1600.00 to the Greene Clothing Bank. In previous years, we have donated to Greene Community Services, the Joint Recreation Committee, Greene Labor Day Committee, Greene Area Food Pantry, Chenango County SPCA, Run 4 A Reason and Every Dog's Dream Inc.-Greene.

McGowan Wins 2018 Bowlodrome Scratch House Tourney!

Greg McGowan defeated Paul Sims in the championship match to capture the Greene Bowlodrome’s 2018 Scratch House Tournament Saturday.

Twenty-two bowlers competed in the tournament and heading into the place round, the top five were:  Jim Milk 5th, Matt Carr 4th,  Russ Williamson 3rd, Greg McGowan 2nd and Paul Sims 1st.  

In the position rounds, Carr beat Milk256-216, Carr then beat Williamson 227-221, McGowan then beat Carr 216-210,  McGowan then beat Sims 203-192 winning and capturing his first house championship.

Misty Golden defeated Stephanie Fiester in the championship match to capture the Greene Bowlodrome’s 2018 Women’s Handicap House Tournament Saturday.

Fifteen bowlers competed in the tournament and heading into the place round, the top five were:  Misty Golden 5th,  Michelle Williamson 4th, Linda Gransbury 3rd, Andrea Ruck 2nd  Stephanie Fiester 1st.  

In the position rounds,Golden beat Williamson 270-197, Golden then beat Gransbury 280-250, Golden then tied Ruck 262-262 which resulted in a two frame roll off which Golden won 37-28 putting her in the final with Fiester, Golden won the championship 216-210 capturing her first house championship.

Thanks to all who participated and came out to cheer the bowlers on.

The Bowlodrome's Mixed Scratch is March 31 at 1 pm

Rob Fiester defeated Jim Milk in the championship match to capture the Greene Bowlodrome’s 2018 Men’s Handicap House Tournament Saturday.

Thirty bowlers competed in the tournament and heading into the place round, the top five were:  Ralph Goodrich 5th, Brandon Widger: 4th, Rob Dickman 3rd, Rob Fiester 2nd, Jim Milk 1st.  

In the position rounds, Goodrich beat Widger 241-199, Dickman then beat Goodrich 197-189, Fiester beat Dickman 238-230, Fiester beat Milk 260-204 capturing his first house championship.
